Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary specialization and a broad area of biology that uses biological systems, living organisms or their components, and cellular and biomolecular processes to make technologies that improve our lives. The applications of biotechnology are diverse and are most popularly utilized in health and medical sciences, agriculture, cell biology, and immunology. 

 

Microbiologists whose jobs involve research work in many different places, from colleges and universities to government agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to private companies and non-profit organizations. At higher levels, microbiology researchers manage a lab or research group and mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and others working in their labs. Virology, and plant physiology. 

 

In a career as a nurse, one’s day-to-day duties may include taking medical records and completing medical tests. Also, a part of his or her job is to track the changes in a patient's health and observe and monitor his actions. Individuals in the nurse career path are also eligible to perform the treatment and medication plans.
